Hi, my name is Fran.
From my days as the “Weather Girl” in preschool to being crowned the “Sunshine Girl” in high school, I’ve always had a knack for brightening the world around me. While those childhood titles have faded with time, my mission to spread light, connection, and understanding has only grown deeper.
Today, I am a Sex Educator and Counselor that helps men better understand their sexuality in a patriarchal society that often labels them as predators, sex addicts, cheaters, or porn-obsessed. I recognize the immense pressure placed on men — and how few safe spaces there are to navigate sexual shame, grief, and trauma with honesty. The truth is, gender-based division has robbed us all of the chance to connect — and while no one person is to blame, it is everyone’s problem to solve. I believe in doing that work together, with compassion at the center.
My passion for connection goes far beyond my practice. I answer a local rape crisis hotline every Monday. I’ve worked in anti-human trafficking, including a year as an ambassador at Tampa International Airport. I sit with people in hospice care. I serve warm meals to Veterans and their families through The Fisher House, informed by my 13 years as a military spouse. Every single act of service is a chance to learn — about trauma, grief, joy, love, and resilience. These communities are my teachers. Their stories shape the way I show up, not just as a clinician, but as a human being.
One of the most cherished tools I share with the people I serve is something I call Take a Bubble Break Cards. For over five years, I’ve passed them out to those in moments of vulnerability — to hospice patients, survivors, those experiencing mental distress, and anyone navigating hardship. These small cards are paired with a simple, profound act: blowing bubbles. The intentional use of bubbles helps calm the nervous system. It slows the breath, softens the body, and brings a sense of childlike peace in the midst of chaos. For someone facing failing health, overwhelming emotion, or just needing a moment to feel okay — these bubbles have been tiny agents of transformation. I’ve seen tears turn to laughter, fear dissolve into stillness, and pain ease into presence. The cards say “Blow your worries away,” and for many, they do.
